Dave Chapelle Sticks and Stones

In his Netflix special, Sticks and Stones, comedian Dave Chapelle, touches on a few controversial topics that the Black community, as well as women’s rights groups, think and talk about amongst themselves but are too timid to reveal their opinions to the world.

Dave gave us a voice as a culture and people of oppression by addressing the dictators and white culture. Now they know just how a majority of us feel towards them and their problems.

One of the key jokes he touched on was about the opioid crisis, which over the last few years has become a big focus and staple of the white community’s war on drugs and election points, but we in the urban community don’t care honestly because for the last 30+ years we’ve experienced a crack epidemic that the oppressive culture swept under the rug and benefited by filling prisons with users and sellers.

Also, the destruction of Michael Jackson’s image has become prevalent again in line with the deaths and destruction of other prevalent black mentors and figures in the black community. He talks about the right of women to decide whether to have an abortion by choice because it’s their body and no man or law should be able to force you to do something you don’t want to do.

Dave Chapelle’s Sticks and Stones rivals that of Eddie Murphy’s Raw now entering legendary status and giving the oppressed and culture what it needs in a society we’re being silenced.
